Here is our 22nd December question and answer for the Daily in December: Maths Puzzles and Problems series. Have fun talking to your children about this Christmas themed maths word problem.

How can you and your child solve this algebra puzzle? Discuss with your child the methods that you could use to find the answer to this algebra puzzle.

This question, or something similar, is one that is a fun, yet puzzling, question type. It is something that your child may want to think more about to increase their introduction to algebra skills. It is a useful problem type to practice.
