Bek – Tutor

 Meet the Tutor

Every child is different and has different learning needs.  Bek ensures that online lessons are written with each individual child in mind. Building positive relationships with parents, carers and their children is a very important part of the tuition process. Children can feel much more confident and supported when their parent also feels happy about the online tuition journey.

Bek supports students in fun and engaging one-to-one online sessions. Small group tuition is also available. She helps children to feel happier, more confident and to work towards becoming increasingly independent learners.

Maths Tuition for Eight to 13 Year Olds

Although the main age group that Bek supports is Year Three to Year Eight (Key Stages Two and Three), she is also qualified and has experience of teaching children in Key Stage One.

As a tutor and a parent, Bek understands that the lives of family members can be very busy. Weekly online lessons might not always be suitable for some students. Subsequently, there are pre-recorded online courses and resources available for students to complete in their own time. There are also one-off live lessons available throughout the year.

You can find pre-recorded online courses here and information about one-off live lessons here.

Exam Preparation Sessions

Sessions with a focus on exam preparation are also available. Bek helps students to become more familiar with eleven plus entrance exam topics, including verbal reasoning, non-verbal reasoning, spatial reasoning and maths.

Tuition is also available to help children in Year Six to feel more confident when preparing to take their SATs tests. Having a tutor there to discuss worries and individual difficulties can help. Students can ask about different types of eleven plus and SATs questions to enable them to feel happier and more confident when taking their tests.

Lots of students continue tuition with Bek for several years. For those that work with Bek in Key Stage Three, they have the option of continuing to be supported by her for GCSE Edexcel or AQA maths for foundation or higher level exams.
