26th December – Boxing Day BIDMAS Question

Help Ellie Elf to calculate the timings for her to cook Boxing Day dinner. Discuss with your child how you can find out how long she needs to cook the main part of the dinner for.
This question, or something similar, is one that is a ‘real life’ question type. It is something that your child may want to think more about to increase their skills when using multi-step problems. It is a useful word problem type to practice.
