11th December – Carol’s Candy Canes Question

Help Carol to work out how many candy canes her friends will receive. How many will Carol get? Discuss with your child how you can find out how to divide the candy canes between all of the friends.

This question, or something similar, is one that is a ‘real life’ question type. It is something that your child may want to think more about to increase their skills when using division. It is a useful word problem type to practice.
